Symptoms:

  • Small painful blisters (cold sores) around the mouth and genital area.
  • Discharge from the anus.
  • Pain when pissing.
  • Irritation on the lips, anus and genitals.
  • Flu-like symptoms as the infection spreads.

Treatment: 1 - 2 visits to the clinic

  • Tablets and cream can reduce painful irritation and treat further outbreaks.

WARNING! Herpes cannot be cured as the virus never leaves the body but outbreaks can be suppressed.

Prevention:

  • Herpes is a virus passed on through sexual contact, anal and oral. You should not have sexual contact until the sores have healed.
  • Using condoms will reduce the risk of infection.
