Homophobia & Hate Crime
Gay Liaison Officers
Over the last 5 years Wiltshire Constabulary have trained over 150 police officers and support staff as Gay Liaison Officers (GLOs), whose role it is to support gay, bisexual and transgendered people when they are the victims of crime.
All GLOs are volunteers and have received specific training on the sensitive issues gay, bisexual and transgendered people face. If you would like to speak to a GLO, please call your local Community and Race Relations Department:
| Swindon | 01793 891387 |
| North & West Wiltshire | 01249 449609 |
| Salisbury & Kennet | 01722 435209 |
Alternatively, complete the anonymous self-reporting form in the True Vision packs available from gay venues, or the form on our website.
If you have concerns about talking to the police, please call Men's Sexual Health (who can act as advocates) on 01793 695300.
