Festive message from all at Wiltshire & Swindon Men's Sexual Health

It has been a busy year for us, as we continued to provide services for everyone across the whole of Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath and North East Somerset.

We have provided the ever popular Supplies by Post services; as well as ensuring condom packs are available at selected venues throughout our service area.

To ensure that your needs were met, we continued to provide our bespoke postalChlamydia Testing Kit to all under the age of 25, living in Wiltshire, Swindon or B&NES. This proved very popular, as it allowed a large degree of discretion and convenience, to those who have used the service, having preferred it to using their GP or local sexual health service.

Many of you visiting the venues in the 'patch' will have seen us out and about at sometime or other, quietly ensuring that you receive the information you need, when you need it. Don't worry if you missed us this year, we have a lot more events planned for next year.

On your behalf we have liaised with local authorities and agencies to ensure that your voice is not only heard, but also listened to, and this in itself has brought about changes in the ways that organisations deal with issues pertaining to sexuality and sexual health.

Most schools or colleges have used our services at some stage during the year, and in many instances proved so welcome, that we returned several times, which shows that the services we provide are ideally suited.

With young people in mind we now have a countywide youth group, 2BME, which has proved more popular than we could ever have dreamed of. This is a group that is proving essential for some of the counties young LGBT people; which came about because we listened to what you wanted.

We are now looking forward to 2010, not only a new year, but a new decade. Already we are working hard to ensure that we continue to provide a service that is not only effective, but is also tailored to your needs.
