Launch of gay night in Devizes

On October the 8th Devizes will see the arrival of its first gay night called The Scene.

The Three Crowns on Maryport Street is set to hold the only gay night in Devizes on a monthly basis. Landlord, Phil Coleman says, "It's about time someone catered for the gay community in Devizes and the surrounding areas. We've got the perfect function room to play music and create a relaxing environment."

The Scene starts at 8pm and ends at midnight with a fully licensed bar. The launch night will see a live acoustic set by Just John. (Over 18s only. Admission fee of £2.50.)

Local resident Sam says, "It will be so refreshing to finally have something for the local gay community. At the moment I have to travel to Swindon or Bristol to have a night out in a gay bar. It's great to see Devizes offering an event like this in our local area."
