Hi I have blood in my semen (brown), Ive been to the gp they did all there checks and i did urine and blood work which came back all clear, and they put me on 1week of doxycycline. But still no change. I am 31 years old. They have told me to go to a sexual health clinic. Don't really want to go through all the uncomfortable checks again. Please advise.

Blood in the semen is quite a common problem and it sounds as if your GP may already have done all that is needed. The aim is to test for any serious causes and eliminate them. After that, if nothing is found, it usually means that you simply have some leaky capillaries that pass some blood into your semen.
There are national (UK) guidelines from NICE about this condition. Broadly, if you are under 40, and you haven’t had more than 3 episodes of blood in a month, no action is needed. At 31 you might still be advised to see a urology surgeon if the problem persists – though again they will mainly be interested in excluding rare serious causes and may not have much actual treatment to offer if you don’t have one.
Our advice would be that if the problem persists it may be worthwhile going back to your GP and raising the possibility of a urology opinion. You could mention (tactfully) the NICE guidance which you will find on this link http://cks.nice.org.uk/haematospermia#!scenario
