My penis did nit stand up this morning why

I woke up this morning and notice that my penis did not stand up what's the cause

While it is common for us to wake up with an erection (hard on) this is often because we were in light dreaming sleep (REM sleep) before waking. Your penis is often hard during REM sleep. However if you wake up soft it may just mean that you were in a deeper type of sleep: or alternatively that you just didn’t get hard this time during your REM sleep. It is not a worry, and assuming that you have managed to get hard again since this happened, there is nothing you need to do.
